MOROCCAN CHICK PEA STEW

Ingredients: 

1 tbs olive oil
1 small onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
or chopped finely
1 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp ground coriander
¼ tsp cayenne pepper, or to taste
¼ tsp curry powder
1 large sweet potato, cut into equal size cubes
1 (400g) can low-salt diced tomatoes, undrained
1 cup tomato sauce (ketchup)
145g raisins (optional)
Water, enough to cover
1 (400g) can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
1/4 head of cabbage, chopped
1½ cups chopped fresh coriander
Couscous or long grain rice to serve
