always made these for Thanksgiving and Christmas
1 package active dry yeast
1/4 cup warm water
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup warm water
1/2 cup oil
2 eggs - beaten
1 tsp salt
4 cups flour
12. Cooking time: 20 min @ 350 deg
1. Dissolve yeast in 1/4 cup warm water - sprinkle a little sugar on top of
yeast to make it dissolve better
2. Let stand 5 minutes
3. Add sugar, eggs, and 1 cup warm water
4. Add salt, oil, and flour
5. Mix well and let stand in covered bowl overnight
6. In the morning, pour dough on floured board and divide in 3 parts
7. Roll out like a pie crust, using as little flour as possible
8. Cut into 8 pieces like a pie
9. Roll up from wide part to point, like a crescent roll
10. Put on greased cookie sheets and let rise 6 more hours in a warm place
11. These will brown pretty
