Pesto Fusilli with Vegetables

1 package fusilli pasta
2 links sausage
2 small heads broccoli, cut into small pieces
1 onion
2 carrots, chopped finely
mushrooms, sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced

  1. Cook pasta according to package instructions.
  2. Cook sausage in large sautee pan. When done, move to cutting board and slice.
  3. Drain some of the fat from the sausages, and use the remaining fat to cook up the onion, garlic, broccoli, and carrots. Cook until broccoli and carrots are tender, (can use a little steam to speed up the process). 
  4. In a separate pan, brown up the mushrooms. 
  5. Once the vegetables are done cooking, combine in the large pan along with the pasta. Add pesto, salt and pepper to taste.
