Pumpkin Belgian Waffles

Ingredients: 

4 eggs, separated
1 1/2 cups pumpkin puree
1/2 cup oil
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 1/2 cups flour
1 cup sugar
6 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon ginger
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
A pinch of cream of tartar (for beating the egg whites)
