Raspberry Cream Cheese Coffee Cake

Ingredients: 

Cake
2-1/4 cups flour
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup butter
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup sour cream
1 egg
1 teaspoon almond extract

Filling
1 package (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup sugar
1 egg
1/2 cup raspberry preserves
1/2 cup sliced almonds


Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease a 10 inch springform pan
  2. in a large bowl mix flour and sugar. cut in the butter and save 1 cup of the mixture
  3. add baking powder, baking soda, salt,sour cream, egg, and almond extract to the remaining mixture
  4. spread dough over the bottom and 1/2 inch up the sides of the pan
  5. for the filling mix the cream cheese, sugar and egg and hen spread over the cake batter
  6. spread the preserves over the cream cheese mixture and sprinkle the almonds and the saved flour mixture over the top
  7. bake for 45 to 55 minutes until the center is set and the edges are golden brown
