Rava Idly (Step by Step recipe)

Hi all!!
Today I’m posting the recipe of Rava Idly!! It is the most popular and traditional breakfast item of Karnataka ( kannada : ರವೆ ಇಡ್ಲಿ, also called as rave idli ), which is super tasty, irresistible and simply satisfying!!  As it doesn’t require any kind of fermentation process, it is very quick and easy to prepare and taste’s awesome!!

It is a variation of the popular south indian breakfast item, idli, made with rava or sooji or semolina, roasted over low flame in ghee or clarified butter, then, mixing it with yogurt and coriander leaves, spicing it up with finely chopped green chillies and pouring over it an awesome ghee tempered tadka of mustard seeds, broken cashew nuts, hing , ginger and curry leaves!!

The regular idli’s may or may not be everyone’s favorite, but, these rava idli’s are really enjoyed by everyone from young to old, mainly because of their unique taste and texture!!

These idli’s are best eaten when hot and it just gets over with a wink of an eye and you won’t be aware of the number of idli’s you are eating because, they are super tasty and irresistible!! Besides being tasty, these idli’s are very healthy too!!

Goes very well with any kind of accompaniment like, any kind of chutneys, idly podi, sambar or even with any kind of non vegetarian accompaniment like fish curry or mutton or chicken curry (hmmm.. yummy!!  )!!

Make these awesome and super quick rava idli’s for your family and I’m sure they are gonna enjoy it!!

Looks awesome and tempting isn't it?
