Soft Boiled Eggs

seems that they come out too hard/soft every time i make them, but this method proved successful.

Ingredients: 

1-4 eggs (if cooking with more than 4, cook in batches)


Fill saucepan halfway with water and bring to boil.  When water has just begun to boil fully, place eggs in water gently, cover saucepan, turn off heat and leave on burner.  Let simmer for 5 minutes (for 1-2 eggs) or 6 minutes (3-4 eggs).  Remove from heat and run eggs under cool water for ~ 30 seconds.
