Tomato Corn Pie

Ingredients: 

1 frozen pie shell (see tips)
3 large eggs
3/4 cup low fat milk
1/2 cup shredded mild Cheddar cheese, divided
2 small heirloom tomatoes, thinly sliced
1/2 cup mixed grape tomatoes, halved
1 cup corn kernels, fresh or frozen
1 tablespoon chopped fresh thyme leaves
1/ 2 teaspoon kosher salt, divided
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
