Whole Wheat Hamburger Buns Recipe

Excellent recipe! These buns turned out beautifully, with great texture and flavor. We used all whole wheat flour, which did make for substantial and filling buns. They were perfectly sized for our homemade 1/3 pound burgers.

2 cups warm water
1/4 cup corn oil or 1/4 cup canola oil
2 teaspoons salt
1/2 cup cooked oatmeal
1/4 cup flax seed, ground
1/2 cup honey
6 cups whole wheat flour (you can replace 2 of the cups with white flour if you like)
2 tablespoons active dry yeast
