Chicken Curry

Ingredients: 

1.5 Kg chicken or pieces
3 Tbs Oil
12 Curry leaves
2 Med onions - chopped
2 ts chopped garlic
2 ts chopped ginger
1 ts ground turmeric
3 ts chilli powder
3 ts coriander
1 ts cumin
2,5 ts salt
1 tin tomatoes
2 small cinnamon sticks
1 tin coconut milk


  1. Cut chicken into pieces.
  2. Brown chicken in oil and remove
  3. fry - curry leaves, onion, garlic and ginger until soft
  4. Add turmeric, chilli, coriander and cumin and fry for 2 mins
  5. Add salt and tomatoes and cook with lid on until pulpy about 3 minutes
  6. Add chicken and cinnamon
  7. Stir until coated and cook about 30 minutes
  8. Add coconut milk and simmer for ages.
  9. Take lid off and let the sauce thicken
