Coca Cola Cake

Ingredients: 

Cake:

1 C coke
1/2 C buttermilk
1 C softened butter
1 3/4 C sugar
2 eggs beat lightly
2 tsp vanilla
2 C flour
1/4 C cocoa
1 tsp baking soda
1 1/2 C mini marshmallows

Frosting:

1/2 C butter
1/3 C coke
3 T cocoa
1 pkg. powdered sugar 16 oz
1 T vanilla

Directions

Cake:

  1. Grease and flour a 13x9 cake pan.
  2. Combine: coke and buttermilk - set aside.
  3. Beat: butter until creamy on low, gradually add sugar and beat until blended. 
  4. Add: egg and vanilla to butter mix; beat low until blended
  5. Combine: flour, cocoa, soda. 
  6. Add to butter mixture alternating with the coke mix. BEGIN and END with the FLOUR mix. 
  7. Beat on low until blended
  8. Stir: in the marshmallows. Pour into prepared pan. 
  9. Bake: at 350 for 30-35 minutes
  10. Remove and cool for 10 minutes then pour frosting over warm cake. 

Frosting:

  1. Bring butter, cola, cocoa to a boil in a large saucepan over medium heat. 
  2. Stir until better melts. Remove from heat.
  3. Whish in sugar and vanilla.
