Braised Chicken and Artichokes

Ingredients: 

1 lemon, halved
1 lb. baby artichokes
3 Tbs. all-purpose flour
Salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste
2 each skinless, bone-in chicken breast halves, thighs and drumsticks
2 Tbs. olive oil
4 garlic cloves, slivered
1 shallot, slivered
1 Tbs. minced fresh basil
1 Tbs. minced fresh tarragon
1 Tbs. minced fresh flat-leaf parsley
1 Tbs. Dijon mustard
1 cup dry white wine
1/2 cup chicken broth
3 plum tomatoes, seeded and chopped
