1 ¼ cups butter
3 eggs
2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
¾ teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
1/3 cup milk
5 teaspoons finely shredded blood orange peel
2 tablespoons blood orange juice
1 ½ cups granulated sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla
½ cup powdered sugar
½ cup blood orange juice
2 tablespoons butter, melted
2 tablespoons dark rum
1 teaspoon cornstarch
1 cup whipping cream
3 blood oranges, thinly sliced
