All Bran Rolls

Notes: 

I like to stuff with cinnamon and sugar and serve for breakfast. May be frozen before allowing to rise before cooking

Ingredients: 

1 Tbs salt
1/2 Cup sugar
1 Cup all bran
1/2 Cup shortening
1 Cup boiling water
1 yeast cake
1 cup lukewarm water
5-6 cups of flour


  1. Combine first five ingrediants and mix until luke warm
  2. Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water and add to mix
  3. Add remaining ingrediants except flour
  4. Add 2 cups flour and continue to mix
  5. Add remaining flour while mixing
  6. When dough forms a ball, cover and set aside in a warm place (top of fridge works well) until dough doubles in size, about 2 hours
  7. Roll out dough and cut into rolls
  8. Cover and allow to rise again before cooking
  9. Cook at 400 until done, 10-14 minutes
