Notes: 

NotesI serve this with crackers, wrapped up in collard greens or just plain with vegetables. It’s a little sweet in nature because of the beets and carrots. If you don’t like sweet and just want plain jane hummus just use the “Basic” ingredients listed above and omit the rest and add a few fresh herbs like parsley.You could easily make this more tangy or salty by omitting the beets and carrots and using olives or artichokes instead.

Ingredients: 

1 can of “Eden Farms” organic garbanzo beans
1 T organic tahini1 garlic clove minced
1 T olive oil
1/4 t salt
fresh cracked black pepper
juice of one lemon
Flavorings
juice of one orange
2 large carrots chopped
1 small beet chopped
handful of cilantro
1 t of maple syrup (optional if you like it sweeter)
