Artichoke Dip with Pita Chips

Ingredients: 

DIP

2 cans artichoke hearts, drained
1 cup grated parmesan cheese (freshly grated if possible)
2 cloves of garlic
salt to taste
1 cup mayonnaise
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper

PITA CHIPS

8 pirces of pita bread, cut in quarters
2 egg whites, lightly beaten
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup frsh parsley, minced
1/4 cup olive oil
1/2 cup sea salt


DIP

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Either chop artichoke hearts and garlic finely or grind them in a food processer.
In a large bowl combine all the ingredients.
Place in 1 quart baking dish.
Sprinkle with a little more cayenne.
Bake about 30 minutes until the top browns.

PITA CHIPS

Preheat the oven to 300 degrees F
Cut pita bread in quarters and seperte to make thin triangles.
Mix remaining ingredients in a small bowl and spread on pita triangles.
Bake for 10-15 minutes until toasted.
