Baked Macaroni and Cheese

Ingredients: 

2 tablespoons cornstarch
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
2 1/2 cups milk
2 tablespoons butter
8 ounces cheddar cheese, shredded
8 ounces elbow macaroni, cooked and drained


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine corn starch, salt, dry mustard, and pepper.
  3. Stir in the milk until smooth
  4. Add butter, stiring constantly, bring to a boil over medium-high heat and boil for 1 minute.
  5. Remove from the heat.
  6. Reserve 1/4 of the cheese for the topping.
  7. Stir in the rest of the cheese until melted.
  8. Add elbow macaroni and stir until well blended.
  9. Pour mixture into a 2-quart casserole pan.
  10. Sprinkle on the remainder of the cheese.
  11. Bake uncovered at 375 degrees F for 25 minutes or until hot and bubbly.
