Blueberry Jam - All Natural

Now that we are in Ecuador we are blessed with year round availability of virtually every fruit and vegetable know to mankind. Blueberries are no exception, they tend too be small but they are fresh and ready anytime you want the. This is a simple recipe and contain no pectin or lemon juice that preserved versions need.

In fact this basic recipe can be used for any kind of fruit jam you`d like to make. Adjust sugar as needed and longer cook times for fruit with higher water content.

Ingredients: 

2 pounds blueberries
1 1/2 cup sugar
That's all!!


  1. Thoroughly clean blue berries, careful to remove any stems.
  2. Place in a food processor and mix until it becomes a smooth mixture.
  3. Add to a large saucepan with sugar and cook on a meium heat for 45-60 minutes, constantly stirring.
  4. Your done when you can run a soon along the top of the mixture and it leaves a trail.
  5. Pour into sanitized glass containers.
  6. Will keep in your refigerator for about two months.
