Ingredients: 

500 g ripe cherry tomatoes
3 cloves of garlic, peeled and finely sliced
1 large bunch of fresh basil, leaves picked, stalks finely chopped
extra virgin olive oil, the best you can find
sea salt
freshly ground black pepper
2 x 400 g good-quality tinned plum tomatoes
500 g stale good-quality bread
