1 pizza dough (see our recipe)
toppings of your choice
cheese of your choice
1 tablespoon butter or olive oil
1 tablespoon corn meal
For Pizza sauce:
1 16 oz can tomato sauce
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
2 gloves of crushed garlic
Cut a standard 6" ball into two pieces. Form into a thin pie.
On one side load your topping and lots of cheese
Brush belted butter along the edges to help form a seal.
Fold the other side over the top of the fillings and crip into a seal or use a fork to seal the pizza dough. Score the top of the dough several times to help release the steam created when baking.
Sprinkle some corn meal on the botton of the baking pan so the calzone won't stick.
Place the calzome on the pan and brush with more belter butter or olive oil so you get a nice browning effect
Bake at 450 -500 for aproximately six minutes.
