Cheesy egg casserole

Ingredients: 

16 slices white bread (I could only fit 14)
4 C. diced ham
16 oz grated swiss cheese
16 oz grated cheddar cheese
6 eggs
3 C. milk
1/2 t. onion salt
1/2 t. dry mustard
3 C. crushed cornflakes
1/2 C. melted butter


Trim bread and cut in halves

Grease a 9x13 baking dish and layer the following:

  • bread to cover bottom of pan
  • 2 cups ham
  • 8 oz grated swiss
  • 8 oz grated cheddar

Repeat layers

Combine milk, eggs and seasonings.  Pour over layers

Refrigerate overnight.

Remove from refrigerator 1/2 hour before baking

Top with cornflakes mixed with melted butter

Bake in 375 for 40 minutes or until a knife comes out clean in center

Serves 10

Can sub bacon for ham
