1 onion
2 tbsp plain flour
1 heaped tsp salt
1 heaped tsp black pepper
1 cup of milk
1 bell pepper
1 cup of cheddar cheese
1 chicken breast or 2 if you prefer more chicken
1 block of pastry
1 egg and 30mls of water (mix together to make eggwash)
1) Boil chicken, let it cool a little then shred it.
Melt butter in pan
2) Add onions and sauté until they soften
3) Then add the flour, salt and pepper, cook for 2 minutes
4) Add milk and stir
5) Once the mixture thickens add the chicken, mix and then leave to cool
6) Add the peppers and cheese once the mixture has cooled down
7) Roll out pastry and use round cutters to cut out the circles. You'll need two for each patty.
8) Swipe the bottom layer with egg wash, add the chicken mixture in the middle, then add the top layer and make sure all sides are stuck down. Egg wash the top layer.
9) Preheat oven to gas mark 5, add the patties and then cook until they go golden brown in colour.
