Chicken Pot Pie

Ingredients: 

Store-bought Pillsbury pie crusts (top and bottom)
1 pound chicken
1 cup sliced carrots
1 cup frozen peas
1/3 cup butter
1/3 cup diced onion
1/3 cup APF
1 TB chicken base
2 cups chicken broth
2/3 cup milk
Flour for dusting
Accent or Seasoned Salt

9" glass pie plate (not the deep dish one, the Pyrex)


  1. Cook chicken however, and cut into cubes
  2. Cook carrots to al dente in broth
  3. Cook onions and butter together in sauce pan
  4. Add flour and cook into a decent roux
  5. Add broth, chicken base, and milk, and cook until thickened ad doesn't taste of raw flour
  6. Place bottom crust in pie plate. 
  7. Sprinkle with a little flour, maybe a tablespoon or so
  8. Stir chicken, peas, and carrots into boiling sauce, and then pour into the pie plate
  9. Sprinkle on some Accent and maybe a little more flour
  10. Cut slits into top crust and place onto pie
  11. Cook in 400 degree oven as long as you can. Maybe an hour. When it starts bubbling over, pull it.
