Cinnamon Chocolate Brownies

20 brownies

Ingredients: 

1/2 c flour
3/4 t cinnamon
1/8 t salt
4 eggs
1 c sugar
1 1/2 t vanilla
1/2 # semisweet chocolate, chopped
1/2 c butter
1 c pecans, chopped
Icing:
4 oz semisweet chocolate
5T butter
2 T cream


Preheat oven to 325 degrees.  Butter and line a 9" square pan with parchment paper. In a small bowl, combine the flour, cinnamon and salt.  Set aside.  In a large bowl, mix the eggs, sugar and vanilla until soft peaks form.  Add the flour mixture.   Melt the chocolate and butter together over a double boiler or in the microwave (about 1 minute on high).  Add the chocolate mixture to the egg/flour mixture, stirring well.  Stir in pecans and pour into prepared pan.   Bake at 325 degrees for 40-45 minutes.   Let cool, then top with icing.   Icing: Melt chocolate and butter together in a double boiler or in the microwave.  Stir in cream.  (Mixture will be runny).  Pour over cooled brownies and set in refrigerator to harden.
