Corn Chowder

Ingredients: 

1/2 lb bacon, diced and browned, drained. (or bacon bits)
1 c shredded carrots
1 med onion diced
3 cans whole corn
1 can creamed corn
2 c potatoe flakes
2 c 1/2 and 1/2
2 c milk (can use all milk)


  1. Remove most of the fat from bacon, dice, fry and drain.
  2. Add onions, fry till soft.
  3. Add whole corn, 1/2 and 1/2 and carrots. Cook for 1 hr on low
  4. Add creamed corn, milk and potatoe flakes. cook on low, stirring occasionally for 1 hr.
  5. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Add milk if needed to thin especially when reheating.
