Corned Beef

Ingredients: 

Corned Beef with spices. Flat cut is generally more tender but more expensive.
New potatoes, carrots and cabbage if desired.


  1. Put whole pkg(with blood) into large pot
  2. Cover with at least 1-2 in water
  3. Bring to boil and then simmer 15 min/lb
  4. Take out meat and put in casserole dish large enough to add the vegetables fat side up. Do not pour out liquid.
  5. Add new potatoes etc to the original pot. Cook till tender.
  6. Cook the meat, covered @ 350 about an hr. Uncover for last 15-20 min.
  7. Cut off fat and serve.
