One 8-ounce block cream cheese, softened at room temperature for 1 hour
1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened at room temperature for 1 hour
2/3 cup chunky cranberry sauce, drained of excess liquid
2 to 3 cups powdered sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Pinch salt
