Ingredients: 

1 3/4 cup all purpose flour
2 14 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 cup plus 1 tsp. sugar
1/2 stick unsalted butter, cut into pieces, room temperature
1/2 cup dried currants
1/4 cup whipping cream
2 eggs
2 Tbl. milk
