Ingredients:

1/2 C oleo
1/2 C shortening
1 1/2 C sugar
2 eggs
4 t milk
1 T vanilla
4 1/2 C flour
1 t soda
1 t nutmeg
1/2 t salt

Cream oleo, shortening and sugar
Add eggs and milk
Add vanilla
Mix flour, sode, nutmeg and salt together
Add to cream mixture
Stir good and finish mixing with your hand
Take out a small lump and roll into just enought flour to hold
Pinch off bits about size of small walnut and place on greased cookie sheet
With back of fingeers, press flat and then with a fork dipped in flou make groves and sprinkle with red sugar.
Bake at 375* for about 10 or 12 minutes
Makes about 4 or 5 dozen
