Sidney J. Swanson, MD, a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, is a recognized leader in transplant surgery. Dr. Swanson, former Surgical Director of the Kidney/Pancreas Transplant Program at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center, was instrumental in the establishment of the Transplantation Branch of the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases.
