gelato, vanilla (ice cream)

Ingredients: 

1 cup heavy cream
1 cup whole milk
1/2 cup sugar (can reduce to 1/3 or 1/4)
1 Tbs vanilla extract
1 pinch salt

  1. whisk ingredients together until sugar is dissolved
  2. chill in fridge one hour (overnight if you have the time)
  3. stir if ingredients have separated
  4. churn in ice cream maker
