A combination of 2 recipes, the linked plus Mary Berry's lemon icing

Ingredients: 

140g unsalted butter
200g golden caster sugar
60g black treacle
60g golden syrup
2 free-range eggs, plus 2 free-range egg yolks
300g plain flour
1 tsp ground ginger
1 tsp ground nutmeg
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
240ml milk, warmed

For the lemon icing:
125 g soft unsalted butter
250 g icing sugar, sifted
Juice of 1 small lemon
