Grandma’s Turkey Stuffing

1 cup of rice​3 pieces celery​2 eggs
1 lb. sausage meat​6 mushrooms​grated cheese
1 onion​parsley​1 small box raisins
1 apple​salt & pepper​pine nuts (a/k/a pinnoli nuts)

Sauté onions & celery. Add apples sliced without skin. Mix & sauté. Put in dish.

Take sausage meat out of skin & sauté – drain & add to dish. Boil rice (3/4 cooked) – drain & also put rice on top in dish. Sauté mushrooms – drain & add to dish. ***Put in fridge till morning.***

****When ready to stuff – add salt & pepper, parsley & cheese. Add beaten eggs, pine nuts & raisins. Mix that all up & stuff turkey (or make in casserole).****

Put oil over turkey & put aluminum foil only on top like a tent. Remove foil when nearly done to give it color.

****Don’t add eggs, nuts & raisins until ready to stuff turkey****
