Grilled Mackerel


So, this Mackerel dish is presenting the fish in it’s best possibly light, just seasoned and grilled then served with a ‘contrast’. Because the fish is oily and rich you need to off-set it with something acidic and/or tart, in this case red onion and lemon which is the ‘contrast’ – one enhances the other.


For 2
2 Mackerel whole or filleted and well boned
Olive oil
Cracked black pepper and Sea salt
Rocket leaves
1 medium red onion very finely sliced
1 beef tomato sliced
Homemade lemon mayo
