You must use specialty red-pepper paste. To be served in lettuce wraps with rice and Korean side dishes, like spicy cucumber, kimchee, etc.
1 1/2 lbs pork belly or any pork chopped fairly small.
1 medium onion
6 green onions
4 cloves garlic
1 carrot juilenned
1 green chilli pepper
1/3 cup red pepper paste
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons red pepper flakes
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon fresh ginger
1 tablespoon soy sauce
2 teaspoons sesame oil
Toss everything in wok at high heat and cook until meat is tender. Garnish with sesame seeds. Serve in lettuce wraps, with white rice and juliened raddishes and cucumbers to help cool the burn. Also great with Korean sides like spicy cumbumber and cold spinach (see our recipes).
