1/8 cup (20g) brown sugar
1/8 cup apple sauce
1/2 teaspoon vanilla essence
1 egg white
1/2 cup (60g) plain flour
1/4 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
pinch of salt
1/4 cup dark chocolate chips
1. Preheat oven to 190 degrees C. Sift together flour, bicarb soda and salt.
2. Stir together white sugar, brown sugar, apple sauce, vanilla essence and egg white until smooth. Combine the flour, bicarb soda and salt; stir into the batter until moistened. Mix in chocolate chips last. Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls onto an ungreased baking tray.
3. Bake in preheated oven until golden brown, 8 to 10 minutes.
