Manicotti (Jill Dizack)

Ingredients: 

Sauce:
1 lb ground beef/turkey
6 oz mushrooms
6 tbsp olive oil
16 oz tomato sauce
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp basil
1 garlic bud
1 med onion
2 tbsp parsely
32 oz can tomatoes

Cheese filling:
12-14 inch manicotti shells
15 oz ricotta
1/4 lb mozarella
1 egg
1 tbsp parsley
3 tbsp grated cheese
2 tsp sugar


Sauce:

Saute garlic and onion

Brown ground beef and drain

Add oil, mushrooms, garlic, onion and sauté

Add other ingredients

Filling:
Stuff cheese filling in 12-14 uncooked manicotti shells

Cover bottom of 9x13 pan with sauce

Lay stuffed shells on this and cover with rest of sauce

Bake covered at 400 for 40 min

When done, sprinkle grated mozarella on top
