Maple Nut Ice Cream (maple syrup-sweetened)

Ingredients: 

1/2 cup real maple syrup (grade B)
3 egg yolks ( or 1 whole egg + 1 egg yolk)
3 cups raw cream (never use ultra-pasteurized)
1/2 Tbsp real vanilla extract
1/2 Tbsp maple extract
1/8 tsp salt
1 Tbsp arrowroot (optional)
1/2 cup chopped walnuts (or pecans)
