Peach Cobbler

Notes: 

This is best with fresh Georgia Peaches but any will do even canned if you drain them first.

Ingredients: 

3-4 cup of fresh peaches
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cups all purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 egg slightly beaten
6 tablespoons unsalted butter


  1. Place peaches in the bottom of a baking dish and add brown sugar cinnamon and nutmeg and lemon juice.
  2. Mix remaining dry ingredients in a bowl. Cut in slices of butter and then add the sliglty beaten egg and  Mix until crumbly.
  3. Cover fruit with the mixture. Sprinkle additional sugar and cinnamon on top.
  4. Bake in a 375 oven for 35-40 minutes.
