Philly Cheese Steak Meatball


1 1/2 lbs ground beef (80/20)
1 egg
1/3 cup almond flour
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp dried parsley flakes
1 Tbsp dried onion flakes
2 Tbsp water
oil for frying
2 Tbsp butter
2 cups sliced onions
2 Tbsp roasted jalapenos, seeded and sliced
salt and pepper to taste
18 mushroom caps for meatball base
1/2 cup half and half
1 Tbsp butter
3 oz smoked Provolone cheese, chopped
1/4 tsp xanthan gum
1/8 tsp ground nutmeg
salt and pepper to taste
