1 1/4c. all-purpose flour
1/3 c.+ 1 Tbsp. vegetable shortening
1/4c. Ice water
1. Cut shortening into flour until you have pea-sized clumps.
2. Slowly add the water and gently hand turn the mixture. Do not kneed the dough. Just expose it to the water.
3. Press the evenly mixed dough into a ball and tear into two. Thinly roll each ball on a floured surface and fit to pie dish.
