1/3 cup pizza sauce
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 cup finely chopped tomato
1/3 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Chopped fresh basil leaves, if desired
1. Heat oven to 375°F.
2. Spray cookie sheet with cooking spray.
3. Unroll dough into 1 large rectangle; press
perforations to seal.
4. Spread pizza sauce evenly over rectangle to within 1
inch of edges.
5. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
6. Starting at short side, roll up rectangle, jelly-roll
fashion.
7. With sharp knife, cut into 16 slices.
8. Place cut side down on cookie sheet.
9. Top each slice with 1 tablespoon tomato and about 1
teaspoon mozzarella cheese.
10. Bake 9 to 11 minutes or until edges are golden
brown and cheese is melted. (Bottoms will be very
deep golden brown.)
11. Top with basil.
Customized toppings: pepperoni, diced onions, sliced black olives.
