Rotini with Beef and Beans

Ingredients: 

1 tablespoon olive oil
1 cup chopped onion
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 1/4 pounds boneless beef sirloin steak, trimmed and cut into bite-size strips
2 teaspoons chili powder
1 1/2 teaspoons dried Italian seasoning, crushed
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 14 1/2 ounce can 50% less sodium beef broth
1 14 1/2 ounce can no-salt-added diced tomatoes, undrained
1 8 ounce can no-salt-added tomato sauce
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups dried multigrain rotini or fusilli pasta
1 15 ounce can red kidney beans, rinsed and drained
1 10 ounce package frozen whole kernel corn, thawed
Shredded sharp cheddar cheese and/or snipped fresh parsley (optional)
