Ingredients: 

FOR PIE CRUST:
1 1/4 cups all purpose flour, plus extra for dusting
1 tablespoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
1 stick unsalted butter, cut into cubes, chilled
1 large egg
FOR SALTED CARAMEL:
5 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 cup packed light brown sugar
3/4 cup light corn syrup
1 1/2 teaspoons flakey sea salt, plus extra for garnish
2 cups chopped toasted pecans
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
3 eggs, lightly beaten
FOR WHIPPED CREAM:
1 pint heavy cream
1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
