1 turnip (shaljam) chopped
¼ cup mustard oil (sarson ka tel)
2 medium sized onions, roughly chopped
2 medium sized tomatoes, roughly chopped
2 green chilies, roughly chopped
2 inches piece of ginger, peeled and roughly chopped
10-12 garlic cloves (lehsun ki kaliyan)
1 and ½ tsp salt or salt to taste
1 tsp red chili powder
1 and ½ tsp coriander powder
½ tsp garam masala powder
½ tsp turmeric powder
¼ cup maize flour (makke ka atta)
1 tbsp jaggery (gud)
