Recipe byphoenyx7
Notes:

This is a great grill recipe made with tuna and a light spicy salsa. A great alternative to your typical chicken and packed with protein. ENJOY!

Ingredients:

6 large cloves of garlic, unpeeled
1/4 C diced red onion
3 jalapeno chilis, stemmed
1 tbsp fresh cilantro, finely chopped
1/4 C fresh lime juice
1 tbsp fresh mint, finely chopped
1 tsp salt, divided
1 tbsp fresh basil, finely chopped
4 tuna steaks (5 oz each)
vegetable oil cooking spray
2 C diced heirloom tomatoes

1. Roast garlic and jalapenos in a small, dry skillet over medium hear until soft (5-10 minutes for jalapenos, 10-15 for garlic)

2.  Cool then peel garlic.  Puree garlic, jalapenos, lime juice, and 1/2 tsp salt in blender until smooth.

3.  Scoop 1/2 C puree into a 13″x 9″ glass baking dish.  Place fish on puree, flipping once to coar both sides. Cover dish. Refrigerate 10-20 minutes to marinate. Transfer remaining puree into another bowl for salsa.

4.  Mix in tomatoes. Rinse onion in a small strainer under cold water. Drain. Add to tomato mixture.

5. Stir in cilantro, mint and basil. Season with remaining 1/2 tsp salt.
