Stuffing By Nanny

Notes: 

This is Donna's grandmother's recipe for stuffing which we make every Thanksgiving. We now make our own stuffing and use fresh herbs for a much better taste.

Ingredients: 

Turkey giblets
1 onion chopped
2 celery stalks chopped
1 stick of butter
1 egg
1 bag stuffing crumbs ( see recipe below)
1 bag stuffing cubes
1 teaspoon sage (fresh is best)
1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
2 cups of turkey stock (see recipe)
** we now make our own bread crumbs with 2 stale loafs of french bread seasoned with olive oil and seasonings**


  • Finely chop the cooked gibblets, frm the Turkey stock recipe.
  • Melt butter and saute the vegetables till soft.
  • mix breadcrumbs, meat, egg, vegtables and seasonings together and add enough of the stock to make soft stuffing.
  • Stuff in bird or bake in the over at 350 until brown.
