We made a lot of different recipes over the years but this one tops them all. If you really want the ultra red color that you see in restaurants just add food coloring (they do). Makes 24 oz.
▢ 1 1/2 cup white/brown sugar or substitute
▢ 3/4 cup rice wine vinegar, scant less
▢ 1 cup canned pineapple juice, little can.
▢ 6 tbsp ketchup (or tomato sauce)
▢ 4 tbsp soy sauce
▢ 1 1/2 tablespoons corn starch dissolved in water
