Ingredients:

1 1/4 cup whole meal flour
1/4 cup all purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp yeast dissolved in 1/4 cup warm water
1 tsp poppy seeds
1 container yogurt
1 tbs oil
Enough water to make soft sticky dough
Sugar syrup

Mix flour, add all wet ingredients knead well to form soft sticky dough.
Cover with damp towel, leave in a warm place for at least 3 hours. It's better to leave longer time up to 6 hours.
Form small balls by squeezing the dough between your thump and pointer and cutting the ball using a teaspoon dipped in water, continue cutting all dough and place the balls in a damp tray. Cover with wet towel to keep balls from drying.
Heat oil for frying, don't make oil very hot.
Wet you hands then take each ball and flatten it between your wet fingers to form a flat circle, drop it gently into oil, using a spoon with holes splash oil on top of dough until it puffs out.
Take the ball out into a coriander to drain oil, cool all balls of Tawa and then add enough sugar syrup to make it little bit damp and sweet.
