¾ cup shortening
1 ¼ cups firmly packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons milk
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 egg
1 ¾ cups flour
1 teaspoon salt
¾ teaspoon baking soda
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup chopped pecans
1) Preheat oven to 375F
2) In a large bowl, cream shortening, sugar, milk, and vanilla and blend until creamy. Add egg and mix.
3) Add flour, salt and baking soda to creamed mixture and stir well. Stir in chocolate chips and pecans.
4) On ungreased baking sheet, drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls.
